Find out everything about NRW.BANK – from the latest key performance indicators and the organisational structure to current study results and career opportunities.
NRW.Venture is our response to the scarce supply of financing for young, innovative and often technology-oriented companies that frequently do not have adequate access to loans. Their key asset is a new market idea – this is why their chances of success often hard to assess.
Together with private-sector investors, we invest up to fifteen million euros of equity in such start-ups over several financing rounds. We acquire minority stakes over a term of three to seven years in companies that have already successfully completed a seed round, a business angel investment or a first venture capital financing round.
However, we do not only provide capital – our experienced team is the key to joint success. Our investment professionals with many years of venture capital experience and often also technology and start-up experience use their expertise and network to ensure that start-ups have the best chances of success.
