Dietmar P. Binkowska, Chairman of the Managing Board
After studying economics (1982 - 1988) in Wuppertal and Cologne, he started his professional career at Deutsche Bank AG in his last position as Regional Branch Manager in Ulm. In 1995, he joined the management team of Privatbankhaus Schliep & Co. Düsseldorf, a subsidiary of Bayerische Vereinsbank AG, where he was responsible for retail banking.
At the beginning of 1996, he was appointed unlimited partner of Schliep & Co. Düsseldorf.
From 1996 to 2002, he was member of the Private Clients / Real Estate Management Board of
Bayerische Vereinsbank AG. During this time, he also sat on the Management Board of Westfalenbank
AG in Bochum, most recently as Chairman.
In 2002, Binkowska joined the Private Clients Management Board of Commerzbank AG, where he was responsible for the global private banking business. In April 2003, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Managing Board of Stadtsparkasse Köln/ Sparkasse KölnBonn, where he was responsible for "Individual Clients", "Asset Management and Institutional Clients".
Dietmar P. Binkowska has held the position of CEO of Sparkasse KölnBonn from April 2007 till August 2008. Since September 1, 2008 Dietmar P. Binkowska is CEO of NRW.BANK. He is responsible for Corporate Steering, Central Product Management, Parliamentary and European Matters as well as Municipal and Special Promotion Business.
Binkowska was born in Wuppertal and is married with two children.
Klaus Neuhaus, Member of the Managing Board
After training as a bank employee and graduating as a savings bank manager, Klaus Neuhaus
initially worked in the Audit Department of Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale, where he later
held various executive positions in Germany and abroad. In 1998, he assumed responsibility for the
lending business in Asia/Pacific and in 2002 in the USA and the Americas. In his capacity as BU
Head, he was responsible for the central credit management of the WestLB Group from 2003. In August
2003, he became a member of the Credit Committee and the Supervisory Board of Westdeutsche
ImmobilienBank (WIB). Klaus Neuhaus was appointed member of the Managing Board of WIB in November
2004.
Since January 2006, he has sat on the Managing Board of NRW.BANK. Based in Münster, he is
responsible for Legal, Accounting, Human Resources and Risk Management.
Klaus Neuhaus was born in Münster and is married.
Michael Stölting, Member of the Managing Board
After studying business administration at Cologne University, Michael Stölting joined Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale in 1989. The positions he held at WestLB included that of Head of Swap and Options Trading for Asia-Pacific at WestLB Tokyo and, from 1993, Head of Swap and Options Trading for Europe at WestLB in Düsseldorf.
Between 1998 and 2002, he was in charge of the Credit Derivatives Department in Düsseldorf and held the position of Co-Head of Credit Derivatives Europe in Düsseldorf and London. He later assumed the position of Managing Director and expanded the credit portfolio management of WestLB AG. In 2005, he was additionally appointed Vice Head of BU Credit Risk Management.
In July 2006, Michael Stölting joined NRW.BANK as Head of the newly created Risk Management unit, with responsibility for all risk types. As of January 1, 2009, he was appointed Vice Member of the Managing Board in charge of the capital markets business. Since July 1, 2009, he has been an ordinary member of the Managing Board responsible for Capital Market, Equity Investments and Promotion Programmes.
Born in Cologne, Michael Stölting is married with three children.
Dietrich Suhlrie, Member of the Managing Board
After having studied economics and forestry, Dietrich Suhlrie worked in Africa in the context of
development cooperation.
He joined KfW Bankengruppe in 1991. Appointed Director in 2000, he headed several strategic
organisational units in KfW’s promotion and development business.
In 2008, he assumed responsibility for the Organisation and Internal Consulting Division. Previously he led the Information and Consulting Division and, between 2000 and 2006, the Credit Secretariat. In the context of these functions, Dietrich Suhlrie was responsible for the integration of Deutsche Ausgleichsbank (DtA) into KfW Bankengruppe including the organisational repositioning and realignment of the product range.
Between 2008 and 2010, he advised the Federal Finance Ministry on the foundation and
privatisation of ÖPP Deutschland AG.
Since June 2010, Dietrich Suhlrie has been member of the Managing Board of NRW.BANK, where he
is in charge of Housing Promotion, Business Support, IT/Organisation/Internal Services and
Auditing.
